About the role

  • Ensure end-to-end technical stability of the global SAP MDG landscape by resolving complex L2/L3 incidents across workflows, DRF, UI, integrations, and custom enhancements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain MDG technical components including BAdIs, BAPIs, BRF+, UI5/FPM, feeder classes, ABAP reports, and custom tools supporting PAW/DUCC and global MDG operations.
  • Lead technical impact analysis and coordinate deployment for Change Requests (CHG/RITM), including UAT support, transport sequencing (Dev–QA–Prod), and documentation of dependencies.
  • Manage SAP OSS interactions, including raising notes, validating corrections, analyzing prerequisites, and coordinating with SAP Support for product-level defect resolution.
  • Own DRF configuration, outbound models, IDoc/CPI/API integrations, and troubleshoot replication or queue failures impacting BP, Vendor, Customer, and Material master data.
  • Govern MDG workflows, data model enhancements, and UI model stability (FPM/UI5), ensuring correct approver derivations, clean data structures, validations, and UI logic.
  • Support mass updates, migrations, and reconciliation processes using APIs, BAPIs, and custom tools aligned with global M&A and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain SOPs, rulebooks, FS/TS documentation, system health checks, audit-readiness material, and improve operational maturity and long-term sustainability of MDG operations.

Requirements

  • Must-have (Specific Education): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline.
  • Must-have (Work Experience): 5–10 years of hands-on SAP MDG Technical experience across BP and Material domains in complex ECC/S4/Cloud environments.
  • Must-have (Special Skills): Strong ABAP skills with experience in BAdIs, BAPIs, Classes, Enhancements, BRF+, Workflow, FPM/UI5 debugging, and DRF configuration.
  • Proven expertise in resolving L2/L3 MDG issues (ST22, SLG1, DRFLOG, Workflow logs, IDoc/CPI errors, UI feeder issues).
  • Experience with PAW, DUCC, and custom MDG add-ons preferred.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, integration frameworks (IDoc/CPI/API), and multi-system master data flows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with ability to translate functional problems into technical root causes.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive ownership, stakeholder collaboration (local, global, HQ), and ability to work independently in complex scenarios.
