About the role
- Manage and grow sales at key customers and distributors for LANXESS Lubricants Additive Business (LAB) with account and budget responsibility.
- Develop and maintain key account plans while keeping CRM current.
- Maintain regional and distributor accounts for LANXESS LAB, with full account and budget responsibility for the Southeast region of the U.S.
- Sell value vs. competitive offers to gain customer commitments.
- Develop product/service improvements for new market opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors and customer offerings.
- Trade show participation-AFPM, ILMA, STLE and NLGI as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a closely related field.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry with a preference in the lubricant addtives or asphalt market.
- Successful track record of qualifying prospects, selling value and closing targets with experience in the chemical industry.
- Excellent people management, influencing, relationship, team building and conflict management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and anticipate individuals’ motivations and reactions.
- Ability to manage complexity to favorable outcomes.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
