About the role
- Responsible for all asset and facilities maintenance at Kalama specialty chemical manufacturing site
- Develops and executes maintenance strategies, systems, and processes
- Leads a maintenance organization of approximately 4 direct reports and 17 indirect reports
- Builds and sustains a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Serves as a member of the Site Leadership Team and partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and EHS
- Owns the site asset management strategy
- Works closely with maintenance planning, scheduling, and production teams
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, PSM, RAGAGEP, and other applicable regulatory and company requirements
- Tracks and reports maintenance performance KPIs, supports audits and inspections, and leads corrective actions
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a 24/7 continuous chemical or industrial manufacturing environment
- Prior experience working in PSM-regulated facilities
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant equipment, associated hazards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with a maintenance CMMS (SAP strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and safety documentation
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a track record of building a strong safety and reliability culture.
