Support Engineer

• To support the Housing Regulatory Services Team in particular the Housing Enforcement Team Renters Rights Act functions in providing excellent services.
• To provide accurate and comprehensive technical support to enable housing enforcement officers to protect and improving the health, safety and welfare of every resident, worker and visitor within the Borough.
• The post holder will operate flexibly and changes in priorities may involve the post holder being employed in any area of the Housing Regulatory Services Team.

• Lead on the Council's approach to meeting the requirements of the Renters Rights Act 2025
• Initially lead a small team working with other relevant services and organisations
• Drive forward significant legal change and ensure implementation in a legally focused and intelligence driven manner
• Adapt to evolving requirements in line with implementation of different aspects of the legislation

Team Manager – 2 year fixed term

• Work collaboratively across a multi-agency environment with a range of partners to develop practical responses to key strategic challenges facing the Authority.
• Promote innovation and creativity in service provision to achieve improved outcomes for residents of Barnet.
• Lead in delivery of the Council’s approach to Physical Activity and Events working with contracted providers.
• Manage partnerships with internal and external sports organisations, national governing bodies, public services and third sector voluntary and charity organisations.
• Lead a complex programme of work including policy development and implementation, contract management, financial and risk management, procurement, project management of capital schemes, events and interventions designed to raise participation and engagement levels.
