About the role
- Organize and manage the kitchen, including menu planning and team leadership.
- Ensure freshly prepared daily meals for residents in elderly care.
- Responsible for budgeting, purchasing, inventory management and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, in particular HACCP regulations and quality standards.
- Create duty rosters and organize work processes within the kitchen team.
- Contribute to the development of varied and seasonal menu plans.
Requirements
- Completed training as a cook (m/f/d) or comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in large-scale kitchens or institutional catering.
- Initial experience in leading a kitchen team is desirable.
- Business administration understanding and confident use of MS Office.
- Structured, solution-oriented way of working and enjoyment of responsibility.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
- Identification with the Christian values of Lafim-Diakonie.
