About the role
- Preparing maps and figures in ArcGIS Pro for a wide variety of projects in the permitting field. Proper data management and organization is required.
- Have a working knowledge in state and federal regulations in regard to wetlands, species, stormwater, and permits.
- Participating in fieldwork for jurisdictional wetland surveys and Waters of the US, which would include assistance with plant identifications, soil analysis, and identification of hydrological characteristics.
- Preparing wetland delineation reports summarizing field findings for soil types, vegetation, and hydrological characteristics.
- Participating in fieldwork for protected species surveys.
Requirements
- Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in the environmental science field
- Ability to complete GIS mapping
- Ability to complete high quality technical reports
- Fieldwork, as needed.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Fast-paced environmental consulting/engineering practice.
