About the role
- Manage permitting efforts for large electric transmission line projects
- Assist with managing environmental permitting tasks for smaller development projects
- Coordinate and manage environmental field studies, technical documents, and permit applications
- Manage project schedules with a focus on proactive planning and critical path issue identification and mitigation
- Work with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- Work with other project stakeholders such as engineers, real estate, public outreach, etc.
- Maintain and manage the client relationship
- Prepare proposals for ongoing work and be accountable for project budgets and invoicing
- Manage and mentor junior level staff
Requirements
- Minimum BS or BA in Environmental, Ecology, or Biology
- 8+ years of experience in project management
- Ability to research regulation and advise on appropriate approaches to permitting or process challenges and risks
- Ability to create, review, edit, and provide QA/QC for technical documents
- Experience cost estimating and proposing projects
- Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated
- Must be comfortable being a firm representative (i.e. maintain, pursue, and establish client business relationships)
