About the role

  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on state and federal healthcare fraud and abuse laws applicable to clinical laboratories
  • Review and advise on healthcare regulatory and compliance risks for diagnostics-related business arrangements
  • Collaborate with Law Department attorneys and contract professionals
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to various stakeholders
  • Partner with Law Department transactional attorneys and outside counsel
  • Develop, enhance, and implement policies, procedures, and training
  • Assist in responding to government inquiries, audits, subpoenas, or investigations
  • Provide legal oversight for internal investigations

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience at a law firm or in-house setting advising healthcare providers and organizations on complex fraud and abuse, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Minimum of 5 years Legal experience with state and federal healthcare fraud and abuse laws
  • 5 years Experience advising clients on legal and healthcare regulatory issues in the clinical laboratory and/or diagnostics industry.
