About the role
- Lead and direct a team of Facility professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
- Maintain employee training and critical skills
- Foster a collaborative environment to create a productive and cohesive team while ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Develop a project plan and strategy to increase Missile Defense capacity at the Canoga Park site
- Implement the project with required internal department resources and external contractor support meet program quality, cost, and schedule commitments
- Support internal and external audits of the Facilities area
- Drive root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective action on any findings
- Identify, report, and eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
- Participate in a schedule rotation as the Maintenance Duty Manager where several weeks out of the year is available on a 24/7 for any Facilities related emergency or urgent situation
- Work cooperatively with multi-functional groups such as Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Maintenance, Security, Supply Chain, Finance, and others for the successful planning, implementation, and completion of Facilities projects and services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Previous experience in Facilities is required with leadership position preferred
- Proven financial analysis and budgeting expertise are required – VAR analysis, EAC’s, and forecasting
- Proven process improvement experience with leadership or facilitator background preferred – Kaizen and VSM events
- High level of Safety and Customer focus
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while handling competing priorities simultaneously
- Attention to detail and quality of deliverables
- Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others
- Ability to work with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
