About the role
- Serve as a Test Engineer in all phases of testing in support of development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Test, investigate failures, troubleshoot, and repair program unique circuit card assemblies.
- Perform test activities including writing test procedures, test planning, test conduct and test reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test issues.
- Document and monitor test results.
- Analyze and select individual components and materials to meet system requirements.
- Identify and interface with suppliers for components and materials.
- Interface with the other engineering disciplines and cross functional teams to insure proper coordination of project, product, and system requirements.
- Work with external business partners to document and maintain Coordinated Interface requirements and Shipyard Installation Test Program (SITP) requirements.
- Work with other engineers to develop installation and checkout procedures for flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems.
- Contribute to and present during customer reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
- 4+ years of direct experience as a Test Engineer.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with various testing techniques.
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams.
