About the role
- Partners with leaders to assess, predict, and manage legal and other risks
- Advises and counsels on legal and other matters
- Provides legal guidance on risk mitigation strategies, contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and other legal issues
- Negotiates, researches, drafts, revises, and analyzes agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
- Engages in factual investigation and extensive legal research
- Ensures compliance with laws and regulations
- Collaborates with operational leadership to manage contractual and operational risks
- Monitors and resolves day-to-day legal issues
Requirements
- Doctorate (JD) degree
- Active state license to practice law
- Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
- Government contracts experience within the US DoD market is highly preferred
- Experience in aircraft purchasing
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Personal commitment to ethics and compliance
