About the role

  • Focus on the design and development of specialized systems and special test equipment for electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products.
  • Extensive analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, data acquisition, filtering/conditioning, printed circuit design, measurement error analysis, and future system-level engineering.
  • Utilization of CAE tools such as Altium and SPICE, and laboratory equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc. used to perform circuit design, verification and troubleshooting.
  • Working with or creating embedded firmware to control hardware.
  • Working with various serial communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-422, SPI, I2C, etc.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field
  • Some understanding of basic analog building blocks including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters
  • Novice with basic digital building blocks including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters
  • Little to no experience with standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, etc.)
  • Little to no experience with modeling and simulation utilities (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.)
  • Novice in creating Technical Documentation (Engineering Drawings, Calibration Procedures, Validation Procedures, Operating Instructions, etc.)
  • Novice in writing code in C language.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Currently pursuing a BSEE, BSCompE or BSEET degree + GPA > 3.0
