About the role
- Responsible for controlling and managing activities related to inventory control within the stockroom, receiving, shipping, expediting, dock oversite and training.
- Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures/training material.
- Troubleshoot and rectify discrepancies and assist Supply Chain and Manufacturing with system flow to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
- Coach and grow staff, able to effectively represent Logistics across segments and effectively interact with management.
- ERP/MRP system and process management
- Kitting, cycle count, annual inventory, product put-away and scrap
- Provide customer service – interacting with Planners, Buyers, Engineering and Management
- Fast paced changing environment
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with L3Harris specific Environment Health and Safety policy/procedure regarding material handling (ESD, Optics, fragile)
- Provide back up for shipping and receiving
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
- Holds ability to handle items (up to 45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g. pallet jacks, height adjustable carts, etc.) and may operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Experience working in a stockroom, warehouse and/or production environment
- HazMat certification a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with Agile/PDM software tools
- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other compliance requirements on government contracts
