About the role
- Design and implement secure network and application architectures for mission-critical systems.
- Assess security risks and provide expert guidance to engineering and SOC teams.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new security technologies and tools.
- Oversee firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM systems to optimize protection.
- Lead incident response and resolution for complex security issues.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure systems are “secure by design” and meet compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Proficient in Linux system administration, Juniper JunOS, Cisco IOS, pfSense firewalls, and VMware vSphere.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with networking, containerization, and cloud platforms.
- Eligible to obtain a security clearance (current clearance highly regarded).
- Familiar with automation tools and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in systems, network, or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience supporting technical or engineering teams.
