About the role
- Responsible for execution buying supporting all programs
- Purchases materials and/or commodity products
- Evaluates bids, negotiates price, delivery, quality, and service
- Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, select suppliers, and place PO’s
- Ensure supplier compliance with PO requirements
- Expedite Purchase Orders to meet operation ‘need dates’
- Create a compliant PO package that will pass a CPSR audit
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Strong computer application skills - Excel, Word and Outlook
- Electronic component knowledge a plus
- CostPoint, SAP, or other ERP tools
