About the role
- Responsible for all aspects of detailed design and development of Power Supplies for RF and microwave assemblies
- This includes system power distribution and module level design and definition
- schematic capture, circuit design, derating, and Worst-Case Analysis (WCA)
- Define EMI/EMC requirements and implement methods to meet product requirements
- Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for IDR/PDR/CDR
- Estimate task schedules and budgets (BOEs) for programs, proposals, and IR&D efforts
- Support internal peer design reviews, design verification testing of engineering unit and oversight of design through production
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
- at least 6 years of Power Supply design experience
- Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 4 years of Power Supply experience
- in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- 2+ years of development of isolated and non-isolated Buck, Boost, Forward, Flyback, half Bridge or Full Bridge Converters
- 2+ years experience troubleshooting subassemblies to the component level
- professional experience independently developing test procedures and conducting design verification testing for temperature, inrush, load and line variation, and pulse loading for stability
- 2+ years experience with design and test for EMI (Electromagnetic Interface)
