About the role
- Drive continuous improvement with the company’s supply base by developing and strengthening processes that will reduce defects, receiving inspections, and company risk
- Drive for quick resolution and responses for: Verifications of Supplier Non-Conformances (N/C’s) and Ensure Supplier Corrective Action Requests (8 D’s) have robust containment and permanent corrective actions to prevent future N/Cs
- Travel to Suppliers as needed to support activities
- Communicating to facilitate and enhance supplier relations
- Conduct Supplier On-Site evaluations and provide management summary/status reports
- Utilize company communications staff at other locations to assist with site visits and the overall company supplier improvement process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience OR Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, mechanical Technical Knowledge of IPC Standards
- Familiarity with Rigid, Flex, Rigid-Flex board construction and materials
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Understanding of multi-layer board fabrication processes
