About the role

  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Production, Contracts, Planning, Program Management, and Design Engineering teams to ensure the Operational plan aligns with all aspects of the business
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, and production teams to make recommendations for manufacturability to ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards
  • Provide (DFM) Design For Manufacture review on New Product Introduction and generate Design For Manufacture (DFM) report
  • Provide direct Technical Support to Contract Manufacturers (CM), in-house production related with New Product Transition and on-going product Sustaining Engineering Support including training and follow-up manufacturing failure analysis support
  • Provides Manufacturing Engineer technical support for prototype build such as SMT reflow oven profile, component placement, assembly fixture and cabling
  • Assist Manufacturing team to perform component failure analysis at System level and down to component level

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years of prior related experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience working on RF, Analog/Digital Electronics products with development, and production support
  • Must have knowledge of manufacturing process and familiar with MIL spec, J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 / 620
  • Strong understanding and experience of the processes and procedures required to manufacture and assemble cables/harnesses, SMT circuit card, electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, and systems
  • Familiarity and relevant experience operating in MRP and ERP systems
