Responsible for all purchasing activities relating to quality, cost, and schedule
Effectively interact cross-functionally with various departments
Engage with assigned suppliers to ensure capabilities meet requirements
Produce RFQs, competitive bids, bid evaluations and purchase orders
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Support Lean projects and recovery schedules for demand requirements
Support evaluation and execution of sourcing and outsourcing activities
Assist in negotiation and implementation of supplier agreements

Requirements

University Degree/College Diploma in Business, Operations or Material Management/Supply Chain
Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or 1 year with a Graduate Degree, or 3-5 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
APICS CSCP, CPIM or PMAC SCMP designation considered assets.
Competency using ERP, EDI and PLM software packages
Solid understanding of ERP/MRP and production planning principles
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
