About the role
- Responsible for creation and release of complete and accurate work instructions.
- Possesses various troubleshooting skills with return to Dwg methodology experience and has general experience assembling / disassembling hardware containing tight or interference tolerances.
- Participates in RS25 flight engine manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
- Works under general supervision.
- Provides design for manufacturability and assembly feedback to design center.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings and requirements to translate to process planning that produces conforming hardware.
- Assists in product and tooling drawing design reviews.
- Provides technical guidance and/or training to shop floor, design and management teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with all levels of manufacturing staff.
- Experience with Delmia.
- Experience with deploying electronic work instructions and/or Bill of Materials (BOM)s.
- Previous role in manufacturing, front-loading product definition, and technical work instruction development to comply with product and process definitions.
- Proficiency in machining, geometric design and tolerancing, and assembly processes.
