About the role

  • Leads a geographically diverse, cross-functional product development engineering team with responsibility for the L3Harris public safety radio product line including handheld and vehicular radios products and accessories.
  • Grows an engaged, high performance team that excels at team collaboration, innovation, and agility to respond to customer and business needs.
  • Collaborates with Engineering Leadership and Product Line Management to develop product roadmaps, create engineering project plans, solve customer problems, and ensure long-term success in the market.
  • Oversees engineering resource planning with responsibility for managing engineering budgets against the approved business plan.
  • Oversees engineering development projects and ensures the project teams are delivering to meet customer commitments within the allocated budget and schedule.
  • Identifies and drives strategic initiatives to improve the overall performance of the engineering organization.
  • Develops and presents comprehensive presentations in a clear and concise manner to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in an engineering discipline with 15 years of relevant experience leading engineering development or MS Degree in an engineering discipline with 13 years of relevant experience leading engineering development.
  • Experience leading both HW and SW product development efforts to successfully deliver against challenging technical and business requirements.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with Land Mobile Radio, Tactical Radio, Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other communications technologies.
  • Strong technical understanding and experience leading organizational behaviors to ensure quality.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification, or strong working knowledge of project management practices.
