About the role

  • The Operations Program Manager (OPM) will represent Production Operations as the primary responsible individual for achievement of cost and schedule commitments
  • The OPM will be the primary interface from Operations to the Program Management Office (PMO) and other functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance)
  • The OPM will work with other OPMs to resolve priority conflicts on the shop floor
  • The OPM will lead the manufacturing support team through problem resolution efforts
  • The OPM will also support proposal preparation for both new business and changes in scope to existing programs
  • The OPM will participate in Capacity Planning for the site by providing details on future forecasted work
  • The OPM will be a primary contributor to the development of process improvements aimed at improving cost and schedule performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field and a minimum of 6+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field and a minimum of 4+ years of prior relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Working experience with execution of earned value management (EVM)
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets for both operational and capital expenses
  • Experience in manufacturing; preferably experience in Shop Operations - Operations Planning, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement also desirable
  • Prior experience in the deployment and use of Lean and 6 Sigma manufacturing tools/methods
  • U.S. citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance
