About the role
- Perform manufacturing engineering assignments with a focus on machining requiring a wide application of standard principles, theories and concepts
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing process machining plans
- Provide training and guidance to shop for personnel related implementation of planning
- Assist in developing and implementing processing improvements using process variation management/statistical process control tools
- Lead and investigate non-conformance issues using relentless root cause analysis tools
- Read and interpret information from planning documents, drawings, tool orders, blueprints, sketches, specifications, engineering orders and quality assurance manuals
- Assist in analysis and development of solutions to specific manufacturing problems utilizing manufacturing engineering techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related manufacturing experience
- Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, blueprints, production plans and/or work instructions
- Knowledge of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices, principals and properties
- Knowledge of basic shop mathematic principles
