About the role
- Author a wide variety of Maintenance, Flight, Part, and Operator manuals under US DoD and commercial specifications.
- Author flight checklists for pilots and operators.
- Develop content from Engineering assembly, installation, and component drawings and data.
- Author in structured/unstructured FrameMaker environments for Air Force, Army, or Navy programs.
- Help perform peer reviews of technical publication content.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to distill information for complex software driven hardware and avionics.
- Consider cost, quality, and schedule factors when developing and authoring publications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of experience authoring technical publications for DoD or Aerospace programs and/or platforms.
- Graduate degree with four (4) years of experience authoring technical publications for DoD or Aerospace programs and/or platforms.
- In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of experience authoring technical publications for DoD or Aerospace programs and/or platforms.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
