About the role

  • As a System Integration and Test Engineer, the individual will be responsible for the seamless integration and rigorous testing of complex systems to ensure they meet all specified requirements and performance standards.
  • This role involves coordinating with multiple engineering teams to integrate hardware and software components, developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the integration process.
  • The engineer will utilize their expertise in system engineering principles, test methodologies, and diagnostic tools to validate system functionality and reliability.
  • Additionally, they will document test results, provide detailed reports, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • A strong background in systems integration, thorough understanding of testing protocols, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
  • You will prepare materials, document, and present technical designs internally and customer facing.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree (STEM) with at least 6 years of prior relevant experience or Master's and 4 years of experience.
  • In lieu of degree, 10 year's of experience with system/test.
  • Experience in systems integration and testing, preferably in a relevant industry such as aerospace, defense, or telecommunications.
  • Experience with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and signal analyzers.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with satellite communication hardware interfaces.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience evaluating requirements and writing technical proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Understanding of satellite CONOPS
