About the role
- Lead the design and work closely with designers on the development of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), handling equipment, and transportation systems
- Oversee and coordinate the fabrication, assembly, delivery, and inspection of handling equipment (HE), GSE, and transportation systems
- Develop and oversee acceptance testing and periodic testing of GSE, material handling equipment, and transportation systems
- Prepare and present results through oral presentations and written communications to various stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Logistics Transportation Engineering experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Logistics Transportation Engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Logistics Transportation Engineering experience
- Active US Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field is desired
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field is a plus
- Experience with material handling and Department of Transportation regulations
- Experience with military standards for material handling hardware
- Experience in systems safety, reliability, or affordability engineering is a plus
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
