About the role

  • perform electronics design using electrical design and analysis tools
  • collaborate with Optical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware and Electrical Engineers and Technicians
  • lead bench-level system integration with hardware, software, and other FPGA designs
  • support in the planning and execution of project plans and design reviews
  • create design review packages and present circuit designs at peer reviews
  • generate trade studies with analysis of cost and schedule impacts
  • support proposal efforts and early stages of the program

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • experience with board design using microcontrollers
  • experience with microcontroller programming and debugging in embedded C
  • ability and desire to own development cradle to grave
  • unique ability to combine communications system knowledge with analog, digital, and FPGA design
  • thorough understanding of version control best practices and tools (subversion)
