About the role

  • Create detailed release plans, timelines, and communication documents
  • Direct and manage the entire release lifecycle from planning to deployment
  • Coordinate and document key decisions for interim and future system implementations
  • Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations related to release management
  • Proactively manage changes in release scope and identify potential risks
  • Oversee all aspects of vendor management for release activities
  • Work with management and business units to understand release priorities, resource allocation, and scheduling
  • Guide and mentor team members and encourage accountability
  • Monitor and report on the progress of releases and address issues or delays
  • Apply best practices for release governance and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale ERP, PLM, MES implementation projects
  • Certifications in Release Management or related fields are strongly desired; ITIL or similar certifications preferred
  • Strong familiarity with release management software such as Azure Pipelines, Microsoft Project, JIRA, or ServiceNow
  • Experience in managing interdependencies and coordinating releases across multiple projects
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of MIS, CIS, or related field
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to enterprise system integrations
  • Current or ability to attain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
