About the role
- Responsible for gathering, composing, and editing technical information to prepare manuals
- Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits aircraft technical manuals
- Researches and translates technical information into manuals for users
- Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Technical publication authoring experience using documentation processing tools (Adobe Framemaker)
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering documentation
- Prior experience authoring Technical Documentation in a MILCERT Structured environment for Air Force, Army, or Navy programs
- Must be able to work well with colleagues and customers
- Must be able to assist in planning, executing, and reporting program action with the Technical Publications management team
- Prior experience operating or maintaining the RC-135, Cobra Ball, and Combat Sent platforms
- Prior experience with S1000D standard and authoring tools
