About the role
- Manage trade compliance investigations, including reviewing compliance incidents and creating investigation work plans
- Interview employees and analyze investigation results
- Focus on improving the compliance program
- Support incident root cause analysis and track corrective actions
- Perform technical analysis of hardware, software, and data under ITAR/EAR
- Conduct document reviews and assess export control levels
- Process and review electronic export requests and verify compliance
- Manage and mentor a team of junior specialists
- Support audit investigations and develop corrective action plans
- Develop solutions to compliance gaps identified during audits
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve export control issues
- Stay compliant with changing export control regulations
- Prepare and present reports on compliance activities to management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Trade Compliance experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Trade Compliance experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Trade Compliance experience
- Advanced skills and expertise using SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
- Licensed Customs Broker
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Experience with OCR EASE
- Prior ITAR consent agreement experience or a law degree from an accredited university
- Subject Matter Expert in ITAR, EAR, FTR, and Customs regulations.
