About the role
- Direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
- Plan and administer procedures and budgets
- Make budgetary recommendations and control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
- Manage activities related to operations such as manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores
- Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation
- Communicate within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Active US Confidential Clearance or higher
- Experience working with root cause problem solving methodologies
- Experience with manufacturing electronics and/or electro-optical products
- Understanding and utilization of continuous improvement practices
- Black Belt/Six Sigma certification or equivalent
- Lean Manufacturing certifications
- Experience with NPI process and transitioning programs from Engineering to Quality
