About the role

  • Direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
  • Plan and administer procedures and budgets
  • Make budgetary recommendations and control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Manage activities related to operations such as manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores
  • Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation
  • Communicate within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Active US Confidential Clearance or higher
  • Experience working with root cause problem solving methodologies
  • Experience with manufacturing electronics and/or electro-optical products
  • Understanding and utilization of continuous improvement practices
  • Black Belt/Six Sigma certification or equivalent
  • Lean Manufacturing certifications
  • Experience with NPI process and transitioning programs from Engineering to Quality
