About the role
- Design equipment for naval platform control systems
- Develop manufacturing drawings for naval equipment
- Prepare and execute test procedures for purchased and designed equipment
- Review client documentation for ship systems, including propulsion, electrical, auxiliary, and damage control systems
- Manage obsolescence to support in-service programs
- Participate in internal and external meetings regarding the interface between ship systems and the control system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and team orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written
- Eligible for registration in the Controlled Goods Program
- Eligible to obtain and maintain the Canadian government Reliability and Security Rating Level II (SECRET)
- Must be able to comply with U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements
