About the role
- Disciplinary, technical and organizational leadership of employees in the warehouse area
- Organization and control of material storage and shipping processes, including preparation of shipping documents
- Ensuring optimal utilization of warehouse capacity, taking technical resources into account (e.g., inventory management)
- Monitoring compliance with load securing regulations and checking dangerous goods transports
- Communication with suppliers and customers
- Preparation of warehouse KPIs and reporting them to the head of logistics
- Conducting performance evaluations and employee appraisals
Requirements
- Completed degree in logistics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in warehouse logistics and ideally initial leadership experience
- Additional qualification: forklift license (Fahrerlaubnis für Flurförderzeuge) or willingness to obtain it
- Expertise: Sound knowledge of customs and shipping regulations
- IT experience: with MS Office and ideally SAP
- Language skills: good written and spoken English
