About the role
- Strategic leadership and further development of a European legal team
- Legal advice to executive management and business units, particularly in contract, corporate, employment, data protection and compliance law
- Contract management: review, drafting and negotiation of complex contracts with business partners
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of legal risks in an international business environment
- Monitoring regulatory developments across Europe and advising management on legal implications
- Support for M&A transactions, including legal due diligence and coordination of external law firms
- Assisting departments with compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Designing, delivering and continuously improving internal legal training and governance measures
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (completion of both state examinations) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role or in a commercial law firm
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a team
- Solid knowledge of commercial law and related legal areas, particularly contract and claim management
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
