Manage systems data for clients and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance.
Oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to clients.
Recommend modernization options, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate relationships with other teams and stakeholders.
Provide expert-level support for Oracle Linux Hypervisor environments.
Configure and manage networking on Oracle Hypervisor including virtual networking and NIC bonding.
Optimize hypervisor performance and troubleshoot critical issues.
Prepare, maintain, and update infrastructure and architecture diagrams.
Ensure designs comply with best practices, security, and scalability standards.
Provide input into capacity planning and performance optimization.
Support migration of applications and workloads from Oracle Hypervisor to Cloud platforms and collaborate with Cloud teams to validate integrations.
Act as an escalation point for L1 and L2 teams, participate in Major Incident Reviews (MIRs), and prepare technical RCA reports.
Contribute to knowledge base (KBase) and SOPs for consistent service delivery.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in Linux administration, with strong specialization in Oracle Linux.
Proven expertise in Oracle Hypervisor configuration, networking, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with virtual networking, NIC bonding, and high-availability clusters.
Experience in preparing architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
Exposure to application migration from on-prem Hypervisor to Cloud environments.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Oracle Linux Certified Implementation Specialist or equivalent certification (preferred).
Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud and hybrid infrastructure (preferred).
Experience with automation/scripting tools (e.g., Ansible, Shell, Python) (preferred).
Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity, Availability) (preferred).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure during major incidents and migrations.
Strategic thinker with Continual Service Improvement (CSI) mindset.
