About the role
- Act as technical leader and primary link between Kyndryl and clients for infrastructure projects
- Consult early with stakeholders to gather inputs and define technical solutions
- Design, build, manage and modernize mission‑critical Azure infrastructure solutions
- Lead implementation efforts to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Use and support major cloud platforms and call on other SMEs as needed
- Implement automation, IaC, monitoring, alerting, and logging for reliable operations
- Conduct security assessments and collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices and compliance
- Establish reliability practices (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets) and analyze system performance
- Participate in incident response and resolution alongside development and operations teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, QA, and governance
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Azure Devops
- Experience in Azure Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and manage high available secure and scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices for securing cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or other scripting languages for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for automated and consistent deployments
- Establish and implement best practices for reliability, including service level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and service level indicators (SLIs)
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and addressing reliability bottlenecks
- Participate in incident response and resolution, and implement effective monitoring and alerting
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security best practices and ensure compliance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and QA
- Preferred: Proven experience as DevSecOps Engineer or similar on Microsoft Azure
- Preferred: In-depth knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Networking, Monitoring, Alerting, and logging
- Preferred: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Preferred: Experience with Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes
- Preferred: Familiarity with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Preferred: Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Certified DevSecOps Engineer) are a plus
