About the role

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ on z/OS
  • Perform MQ upgrades and manage clustering
  • Guide application developers on messaging flows
  • Support in-house developed tools
  • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with security standards
  • Conduct disaster recovery tests

Requirements

  • Good experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining an IBM MQ running on z/OS
  • Solid work experience on MQ Upgrades by using SMPE
  • Solid work experience on MQ Middle and CICS Bridge concepts
  • Work experience on MQ Triggering
  • Working experience on Cluster queue Managers, Queue sharing groups, MQ utilities and Traces
  • Knowledge about MQ channel encryption and MQ security
  • Experience in guiding and supporting Application developers
  • Knowledgeable in MQ Performance & Tuning as well as MQ Monitoring
  • Familiar with Disaster Recovery procedures & tests
  • Good to have knowledge on Advanced Message Security
  • Understanding of zOS functions
  • Excellent Verbal/written communication skills
