About the role
- Initiate new business opportunities with current clients and new prospects.
- Maintain the division’s CRM/QuickBase data.
- Update project status and completion dates weekly.
- Monitor weekly/monthly billings and collections with Accounts Receivable.
- Review monthly financial and operational performance and deliver monthly division reports.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team; conduct weekly team calls and deliver weekly operational reports.
- Partner with Marketing on the division budget and share project highlights for promotion.
- Create new projects in QuickBase with accurate scope and estimates (labor, materials, travel) to maintain target margins.
- Communicate scope, requirements, and resources to staff and vendors/subcontractors.
- Generate and manage project change orders with Director-level oversight.
- Review and approve all timecards and expenses for each project.
- Ensure required inspections, records, and documentation are completed and uploaded.
- Maintain schedule and budget; ensure project quality meets or exceeds standards; manage closeout and invoicing.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scopes; procure and manage vendors/subcontractors as needed.
- Generate and manage project schedule requests in QuickBase.
- Communicate with Project Managers on team logistics and travel.
- Review and approve team timecards and expenses.
- Partner with HR on retention, hiring needs, and regular team communication.
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Senior Management on division resource planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years in relevant leadership roles with at least 3 years of P&L responsibility.
- Proven ability to build sales pipelines, close complex deals, and educate clients on solutions.
- Track record of leading high-performing teams, resolving conflict, and driving results aligned to SPIRIT/QUEST values.
- Proficiency with PM tools (e.g., QuickBase), estimating, interpreting plans and blueprints, scheduling, compliance, and financial oversight.
- Resilient, collaborative, proactive communicator focused on continuous improvement and integrity.
- Willingness to travel; proficiency with CRM and sales metrics analysis.
