About the role
- Serve as the technical lead and escalation point for Aurion HR & Payroll engagements
- Lead requirements gathering, solution design and system configuration
- Design and configure payroll elements including awards, allowances, leave, calendars and complex scenarios
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and ensure accurate, compliant system configuration
- Deliver Aurion implementations and technical workstreams on time and to scope
- Support engagement planning, governance, reporting and risk management
- Estimate effort accurately and support commercial management
- Collaborate with other KPMG teams to deliver integrated workforce solutions
- Build strong client relationships and contribute technical input to proposals
- Validate data and support reconciliation across payroll cycles
- Manage multiple engagements while maintaining high delivery standards
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on Aurion HR & Payroll configuration experience
- Experience designing and supporting complex payroll environments (e.g., multi‑award or highly regulated)
- Background as a technical lead or senior specialist in consulting or enterprise payroll
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and build strong stakeholder relationships
