About the role
- Lead proactive credit control and debt collection activities, supporting both internal teams and external clients.
- Provide expert guidance on collection strategies tailored to unique situations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with debt collection agencies.
- Respond promptly to debtor and stakeholder inquiries on billing, payments, and account details.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly debtor reports that the business can rely on.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance processes across the accounts function.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Accounts team, offering support and backup when needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ proven experience in credit control, debt management, and stakeholder engagement.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to influence outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.
- The confidence to act as a subject matter expert within your area of specialty.
- Brings a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness, proactively meeting deadlines and taking initiative to drive outcomes.
- A knack for identifying efficiencies and driving continuous improvement
