About the role
- Take ownership for GL Accounting for UK, Singapore and UAE.
- Enter financial data and transactions into the ledger.
- Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts.
- Perform account analysis, cost accruals, bank reconciliations.
- Review financial documents for accuracy and reconcile accounts.
- Analyse financial data and provide financial recommendations.
- Perform corporate tax calculations and prepare and issue tax filings (e.g. GST).
- Assist on the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Assure compliance and accuracy to our financial statements by performing checks as part of our internal processes.
- Backup Support /cover other GL team members in case of absence or during peak periods.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a related accounting role.
- BSc in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance.
- analytical skills.
- Effective problem solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, with experience in an international capacity.
- Proven ability to work on a team and independently.
- Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Any professional accounting qualification will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Netsuite (ERP) will be considered a plus.
