About the role

Design, build, and scale Komodo Health’s AI-powered Public Data Acquisition, Extraction, and Curation Platform
Transform unstructured and semi-structured data into structured insights powering Komodo’s Data and Products
Drive innovation at the intersection of automation, generative AI, and agentic AI to scale data acquisition and human-in-the-loop workflows
Be hands-on designing, developing, and maintaining at least two core areas: crawling/scraping infrastructure, extraction processes/APIs, AI-driven linking/validation, platform visibility/operational insights, or autonomous agent capabilities
Evolve platform to handle complexity, variability, and scale across new domains
Collaborate with and influence product and engineering teams to execute high-impact roadmaps and technical decisions
Ensure engineering excellence, test-covered code, source control best practices, CI/CD, and environment management
Own platform capabilities, automated change detection, curation workflows, and operational insights to increase onboarding velocity and extraction accuracy

8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
Expertise in designing scalable, distributed systems
Strong Python

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, and AI-driven data handling or related areas such as information retrieval or process automation
Experience in scaling APIs, preferably for data processing
Experience with orchestration tools, version control (Git), CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
Experience planning, breaking down, and estimating engineering tasks
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to leverage AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.)
Nice to have: Experience interacting with, managing, or building with AI agentic workflows
