About the role
- Cooperative and goal-oriented leadership of the accounting team and responsibility for the entire area
- Active participation in the day-to-day accounting operations
- Responsibility for the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Management of all accounting areas: accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger accounting, insurance, treasury, and VAT pre-registrations
- Development of processes and ensuring smooth operations in daily business
- Primary contact for banks, auditors, tax auditors and tax advisors
- Close cooperation with other departments and regular reporting to senior management
Requirements
- Completed commercial training with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant) or degree in business administration with a focus on accounting
- At least 5 years of relevant professional and leadership experience in finance and accounting, ideally in retail, wholesale or the services sector
- Solid knowledge of accounting under HGB (German Commercial Code) and basic knowledge of consolidated financial statements
- Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with MS Dynamics AX is an advantage
- Structured, solution- and results-oriented way of working
- Pragmatic mindset with a strong hands-on mentality
- High affinity for numbers and a pronounced sense of responsibility and quality awareness
