About the role
- Analyze and control the financial performance of the Knix Business (P&L, Working Capital and Cash Flow)
- Analyze revenue, costs, expenses and margins by product family and sales channel and explain deviations between plan and actuals
- Devise and execute financial controls and link accounting with business strategies
- Ensure financial systems and procedures align with BU corporate policies and guidelines
- Serve as business partner to functional leaders and propose process improvements
- Participate in creation of budgets and forecasts for the business unit and incorporate key business assumptions
- Contribute to monthly BU consolidation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and long-term financial plans
- Perform project and scenario evaluation and monitor performance deviations
- Carry out analysis of cost centers and prepare information for BU leadership
- Contribute to defining guidelines, instructions and reporting content in line with Corporate Finance
Requirements
- A university degree (B.A.) with a commerce/business administration focus or equivalent in work experience
- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in a finance role, with a focus on budgeting and planning
- Prior experience working in a Retail or direct-to-consumer business is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information to non-technical business partners, including senior management
- Strong knowledge in consolidation and reporting systems
- General Accounting knowledge (corporate and managerial)
- General Financial Knowledge (P&L, Cash Flow, Working Capital)
- Proficiency in Excel and construction of executive presentations; expert-level working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to connect the dots
- Curiosity and ability to investigate underlying drivers of company trends
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to contribute process improvement ideas
- Highly organized and maintains backup documentation for work
