About the role
- Own bookkeeping, AR/AP, financial reporting, and cash flow management
- Oversee monthly close and support compliance and tax filings (with external partners)
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial operations
- Rebuild and maintain the company’s financial model for better forecasting and scenario planning
- Develop a scalable headcount planning model aligned with growth and budget needs
- Partner with department leads to establish and manage departmental budgets
- Track actuals vs. budgets and deliver insights to leadership
- Provide finance guidance to support fundraising, board reporting, and investor relations
- Identify opportunities for financial efficiency and improved margins
- Recommend and implement tools/processes to improve finance operations
- Report directly to the Director of Operations and work closely with the leadership team
Requirements
- 5+ years of finance or FP&A experience (SaaS experience strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to create and maintain financial models and headcount plans
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and department-level financials
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfort working in a startup/scale-up environment with ambiguity and fast growth
- CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus but not required
