About the role
- Document and standardize design, manufacturing, and testing of high voltage components and assemblies using industry standards, best known methods, and the newest technology
- Design high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements (dielectric selection, thermal management, noise suppression)
- Conduct studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of high voltage systems
- Select and procure appropriate high voltage equipment, collaborating with suppliers and contractors
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance strategies and supporting documentation, and accurate records
- Integrate solutions into Semiconductor Inspection equipment focused on performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Conduct inspections and diagnose system issues
- Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of high voltage systems
- Establish and qualify external vendors and suppliers
- Lead High Voltage Center of Excellence and support multiple divisions
Requirements
- Analytical instrumentation
- Semiconductor Capital Equipment working on the specialty equipment, not the mains
- SEM/TEM
- High Vacuum systems and High Voltage Vacuum Feedthroughs
- Materials
- Cable/connector specification, design, and testing
- High voltage, or similar, working on electron beam technology
- In-depth knowledge of precision high voltage system design, operation, and maintenance
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., MATLAB; ANSYS or COMSOL are a plus)
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, SEMI)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
