About the role
- Support material compliance evaluations across KLA for tools, spare parts, packaging, and chemical substances
- Analyze Bills of Materials and ensure alignment with regulations
- Perform "where used" analysis of identified parts in enterprise systems such as SAP and Enovia
- Evaluate and respond to supplier feedback from surveys and track/close out open issues with suppliers, customers, or internal partners
- Work on regulatory and customer reporting requirements and prepare technical reports detailing chemical substances present in parts and products for regulations such as REACH, RoHS, POP, TSCA, SCIP
- Research supplier compliance information and find and evaluate Safety Data Sheets for environmental compliance information
- Build and submit SCIP dossiers for compliance with the Waste Framework Directive
- Design systems for recordkeeping and reporting of environmental compliance data and identify key performance indicators
- Conduct data analysis of S23 energy reports for the Global Impact Report and find opportunities for energy reduction
- Integrate data into Enovia to run "where used" analyses and identify impacted parts as materials transition from watch lists to restricted lists
- Collect companywide shipment data and generate laser and x-ray reports to FDA
- Generate compliance labels and templates, Declarations of Conformity
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, IT, legal, supply chain, and customer experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in environmental compliance and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with enterprise systems including SAP, Enovia, eQuality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of material compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, POP, TSCA, SCIP)
- Experience preparing technical reports detailing chemical substances and regulatory reporting
- Experience researching supplier compliance information and evaluating Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Experience performing Bills of Materials review and "where used" analyses in enterprise systems
- Experience tracking and closing out supplier/customer/internal compliance issues
- Experience building and submitting SCIP dossiers and working with Waste Framework Directive requirements
- Ability to design systems for recordkeeping and reporting of environmental compliance data
- Experience conducting data analysis (e.g., S23 energy reports) and integrating data into Enovia
