About the role Provide service and repair and service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment Act as the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility and maintain customer goodwill Ensure Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for customer use and that customers are satisfied Participate in semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls Train customers on semi-complex products and services Perform semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, and maintain documents of all inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failures Respond to semi-complex service calls and assess performance of products/equipment based on field support data Recommend modifications or improvements and refer complex, unusual problems to others Perform semi-complex technical or paraprofessional work and identify and solve non-complex problems Requirements Trade school graduate or two-year Associate’s degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment Some work experience with material handling equipment Service experience with Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), or conveyors highly prized Willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 80% of the time traveling May be continuously away from home for as long as a month Must be willing to be available during off hours and travel accordingly Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures Knowledge of using personal computers for word processing, database functions, and communications Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration Working experience with troubleshooting Programmable Logistic Controllers (PLC) is required Career Development Competitive Compensation and Benefits Pay Transparency Global Opportunities Travel expenses (offer travel expenses) Copy ATS Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
