About the role

  • Proactively call and engage a defined portfolio of existing mid-tier clients to drive retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Run structured, calendar-driven outbound call and email campaigns to ensure regular, meaningful touchpoints across all allocated accounts
  • Identify commercial opportunities through account reviews and translate them into revenue outcomes
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and capability presentations over the phone
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service arrangements confidently and professionally
  • Own your sales pipeline — tracking activity, forecasting accurately, and reporting outcomes to management
  • Focus on retention and renewals of allocated mid-tier accounts
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for inbound account queries, contract questions, relationship concerns and expansion plans
  • Resolve client enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a seamless and high-quality customer experience
  • Onboard new SME clients and manage the full lifecycle from implementation through to embedded, self-sufficient use
  • Conduct regular scheduled account reviews if required verbally and in writing, assessing product usage, satisfaction, and forward opportunity selling

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in telephone-based account management, inside sales, or customer success — ideally within SaaS, HR technology, compliance, or professional services
  • Previous experience in compliance or background screening platforms is highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or a related field is desirable — but experience will speak louder
  • Proficient in CRM platforms (Salesforce highly regarded) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
