Network Engineer

• Serve as a Network Engineer - Virtualization Specialist supporting network build out and deployments to the C2BMC Test
• Use SDDC Manager to patch, upgrade and provide overall system maintenance

Network Boundary Engineer

Controller

• Maintain 24×7 situational awareness of network health (availability, latency, loss, jitter, capacity, link/path status)
• Triage, contain, and restore service during incidents using documented runbooks/playbooks; coordinate swarming with Routing/Switching, Boundary Security, Platform, and Cyber teams
• Execute initial impact assessment, user/stakeholder communications, workarounds, and continuity steps, capture timelines and decisions for post incident review
• Operate dashboards, alerts, and synthetic/active tests; tune thresholds to reduce noise while protecting SLOs
• Correlate telemetry (syslog, SNMP/streaming telemetry, NetFlow/IPFIX, route/adjacency state) with actionable escalation paths
• Validate monitoring for new or changed network services (health checks and alerts in place before go live)
• Enforce CAB/CCB decisions, maintenance windows, freeze periods, and back out plans for network changes

Network Operations Controller

Manager

• Provide end-to-end delivery and operational performance of network services supporting DoD missions across IL4/5/6 environments; own SLAs/SLOs, service governance, compliance alignment, vendor performance, and continuous improvement across data center, campus/branch, WAN/SD WAN, boundary security, and cloud connectivity
• Establish the service vision, charter, and roadmap aligned to agency objectives and portfolio priorities
• Lead Service Governance (CAB/CCB/ARB participation) balancing velocity, reliability, and security; maintain decision records and traceability
• Define and maintain network service policies, operating level agreements (OLAs), underpinning contracts (UCs), and escalation matrices
